Lyrical Opposition x Ruby Ibarra - Cloud 9 (LIVE)

Ughhhh, we could’ve went harder on this performance. Need more preparation next time. Ruby Ibarra did her thing as always, flawless victory! Lyrical Opposition performed for like twenty minutes prior to performing this one and my voice got hella shaky and raspy. Nerves, I hate you! We were missing two of our members as always. Look for the Cloud 9 Music Video Coming Soon, Winter 2017.

Fox News needs to calm the F Down. They got some nerve to put all their media powers together and bash an artist like Common. The Hip-Hop/Spoken Word Artist was invited to the White House for “poetry night” and performed a poem about specific issues that America faces. He used subliminal metaphors and did not even use profanity once.  Now all the media groups and news channels are trying to make him look like a villain. Common is one of the most intellectual rappers we have. When people think of positive hip-hop, they think of Common. Now the media is trying to expose him as the most gangster and copkiller supporter bad guy. R u serious? Blood, it was spoken word and a poetry slam. Those two things are made for freedom of speech. So I guess, everybody that goes to the White House has to watch what they say and be politically correct? So everybody there has to censor themselves and not speak what they feel? This is the main reason why I don’t really watch news and politics, because they like to censor what people say and have to be politically correct all the time. They keep stuff away from the us and think we can’t handle it. They bash and try to destroy anybody that tries to speak the truth. I respect Common for speaking what he felt in a crowd of such powerful individuals.

The White House shouldn’t have Poetry Night if they just want people to adjust, conform to their ways, and hold back from what the artist really feels like saying. Poetry is about speaking your mind completely and being expressive.

P.S. Jon Stewart is one of my heroes for making Bill O’Reilly and “Faux” News look stupid.
